Wild Male Peruvian x Marble Female Spawn
OverView
My Marble female from the other mixed spawn decided to try a different male. This male has much nicer finnage. Very long flowing finnange is just what Marbles need to get. So this looks to be a good match. I do not know if they will manage to raise any of the fry. The tank has about a dozen Corydoras metae. they are excellent night raiders of eggs, even when I leave the light on. This is the second viable spawn from this female, and the first for the male.
Housing and Breeding

They are in a 29 gallon tank. The tank has gravel, an outside filter, heater set at 78F, 2 slates, and a lot of plants. I use this tank to form up pairs. As I raise up really nice fish, I will place them in this tank. It has just been a lucky tank for me as far as getting Angel pairs. The tank also has a bunch of Corydoras metae, so egg survival is tough. I do not usually pull the eggs because I want the parents to take care of the eggs. That is the way it is supposed to be. So at some point, the cories will raid the slate and grab the eggs. But the parents will try and learn that their job is to protect the eggs. This gives me good parents when they are pulled out and moved to a new tank, without the cories.

Foods
Adult fish are fed live blackworms, daphnia, Frozen brine shrimp, mosquito larvae and frozen bloodworms. Not all at the same time, of course.I feed blackworms for about 3 weeks, then the frozen brine shrimp and frozen bloodworms for 1-2 weeks. Then back to the blackworms. Mosquito larvae and daphnia are fed when available.I add some flake food just as a toss in when it is between meals.
