Overview
|
|
|
| Obtained F0 (Wild) 2 pairs in June
2002. One pair is well matched size about 1-1/2". The other pair has a 3"
male and a much smaller female. Within a couple of days, both females had to
be separated from the males. The males spent all their time beating up on
the female. Here is what the setup looks like at this point. This is a 5
gallon tank, sponge filter (on the right), lots of plants. Tank has small gravel on the
bottom, with a plastic container of long strand spaghnum moss (on the left
side). Female is being kept in net tank inside the 5 gallon tank. |

| Feeding |
|
|
| The fish seem to be very happy with
a diet of newly hatched brine shrimp, daphnia, mosquito larvae and
blackworms. All of it is eaten with out any particular favorite. The first
food they ate when I got them was daphnia. I think the movement triggered
their eating at first. |
