Fish Collected and brought home from the Coastal Plain trip.

If the fish is not identified, any help from those who know these things will be appreciated. Even though I did not get any of the really gorgeous darters, this may be the trip where I fell in love with them.

Etheostoma artesiae. Red spotted darter. 3" long more or less.

How do you not fall in love with these? I brought back 3, all doing well. Caught in about 3" of water where the pygmy sunfish were.

This unknown fish is only about 1". Brought back about 6.
Percina sciera. Aabout 1 1/2"

Banded Pygmy Sunfish

Brought back 12-15 of these. This is what I wanted to be sure and get. These were caught in about 1" of water, hidden in plants, using a 10" aquarium fish net..

Some kind of sunfish or flier. Really shimmery in the tank. I brought back 3 of them that I think are all this same fish. Only about 1 1/2" in size. Eating like pigs.

Fundulus notatus

Have several that are between 1" and 3"+.
